ISebastian A. Hoeges advise my clients, individuals and small businesses, on the legal aspects of debt.  I help them understand the legal implications of indebtedness, present options to defend against legal process by creditors, and I guide them in managing their legal problems. If together we determine that bankruptcy is the prudent course of action, I provide legal representation throughout the process, from initial filing to closing of the case.

Debt often puts serious strain on personal relationships. Unfortunately, debt and divorce occasionally go “hand in hand”.  I am experienced in family law, so I provide consistent legal representation in situations where, for example, bankruptcy and divorce occur together.

I offer my clients both legal knowledge and the practical hands-on experience that is necessary for efficiently solving problems and settling the case.  My practical experience in business and contract law, and family law, offers my individual and business clients a broader perspective on the legal implications of debt and bankruptcy, and the real world know-how to get results.

I graduated in 2009 from the George Washington University School of Law with an LL.M, and was admitted to practice in Virginia the same year. Prior I studied in Europe, earning a law degree in Germany in 2003, and passing the German “bar examination” in 2005, which qualifies me to practice as an attorney in Germany. I also studied English law for one year at the School of Law of the University of Leicester, UK.

With my international background, I offer legal support to the diverse communities in Northern Virginia.  In addition to my local clients, I have a significant practice among Northern Virginia’s international community. My international clients come from Europe, the Middle East, Southern Asia, and Latin America.

I am admitted to practice in all Virginia state courts, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  I am a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar, the Fairfax Bar Association and the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association.
